DBF is a non-government, non-profitable and non-political voluntary development organization. It was established in January 2003 with the initiative of a group of educated social workers with an aim to promote the socio-economic status of the rural poor and disadvantaged people emphasizing formation and operation of the women and children through concretization, capacity building, institution building, formation and operation of credit unions, capital formation and imparting felt-need based problem solving programs. It believes in non-directive, bottom-up, integrated and participatory development framework and works as a catalyst with the concern people and aspires a judge full and equitable share able society, where every individual could be able to live in peace, harmony and justice.
Since the inception on 1st January 2003, DBF has been working hard to derive away poverty, illiteracy and malnutrition. It aims to assist the poorest sections of the community to achieve assured and sufficient means of livelihood and social equity. DBF has a bitter experience of exploitation, torturing and deprivation of the asset-less/ have not people by the influential individual, landlords, land grabbers and against violation of human rights, domestic level women oppression & torture and democracy perpetuates the process of dehumanize

Mission
To create opportunities for the disadvantaged & under privileged community especially women, adolescent & children can improve their socio-economic as well as health status and to participate in and be responsible for their own development, ultimately it ensure equal participation, transparency and accountability in every aspect of the society for sustainable development.
